PWP system

Wherever the size of the shave tool holder allows, it is advantageous to use PWP inserts because of their faster and easier handling. Due to the high changeover accuracy, production can usually be continued immediately after a tool change, without the need for readjustment. The quick-change capability of the insert leads to a considerable reduction in downtime costs.

  • Groove width: up to 25 mm

VHM system

Schwanog solid carbide shaving tools are used when exchangeable inserts cannot be used due to the lower height of the shaving holders or when multiple regrinding of the tool is required.

  • Groove width: up to 35 mm

PWP-B system

the PWP-B system is used as a supplement to the PWP system if the profile to be shaved is > 25mm. A multiple regrinding at the rake angle is advantageous. Due to the high changeover accuracy, production can usually be continued immediately after a tool change without re-adjusting. The quick-change feature of the insert leads to a significant reduction in downtime costs

  • Groove width: 25 - 50 mm
