Sustainability at Schwanog

Responsibility

Schwanog GmbH is located in Obereschach, a town in the Black Forest. The region in the southwest of Germany is characterized by its beautiful landscape. The Black Forest has a historical connection to industry and is still a center of the metalworking industry and home to many high-tech companies.

Schwanog GmbH is making an active contribution to a climate-neutral future by introducing CO₂ management and an energy management system. The foundation for a more sustainable future has thus been laid in order to fulfill our social responsibility.

Energy

  • The photovoltaic system and the CHP plant at the Obereschach site cover approx. 24% of the total annual electricity consumption
  • Heat recovery from machines and CHP waste heat
  • Energy-efficient LED lighting in all production areas
  • Regular compressed air leakage measurements and leakage elimination  
  • Intelligent controls efficiently regulate the central ventilation systems
  • Introduction of CO₂ management and an energy management system to measure and reduce greenhouse gas emissions
