ID Grooving and turning

The Schwanog WSI system enables internal grooving, internal turning or both manufacturing steps in a single operation. The tool holders are equipped with internal cooling, usually diameters > 2 mm can be realized. The internal grooving inserts are continuously adjustable in length by means of an adjusting screw in the Z-axis, thus offering optimum stability and functionality when setting up and changing tools. The changing accuracy of the WSI system is 0.02

WPI-System

With Schwanog’s WPI system, internal contours with bore diameter ≥ 12mm can be achieved precise and highly efficient using plunge-cutting and longitudinal turning processes.
Due to the quick changeability of the tool and high repeatability, no readjustment of the tool is required after tool changeover.
